French Toast in a Mug - Week 8

Hi Guys !!!! So as you know the weather is getting colder and fall is around the corner!!!! I am very excited about this!!!! This time of the year means pumpkin spice lattes, boots and leggings, and one step closer to winter !!!!! My FAVORITE season!!!! I know what you are all thinking ...... She's Crazy !!!!!  I know it's strange but I can't help it I LOVE Winter !!! I've got a recipe for you that will make you love cool mornings.....

 It's French Toast in a Mug!!!!


Ingredients:
  • 1 piece of buttered bread (You can use French bread or a harder bread if you would like. I used white bread and that worked just fine but it was a little eggier)
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips
  • Powdered Sugar(optional)
  • Cinnamon Sugar(optional)

Directions:
  1. In a microwavable mug, mix together the egg, milk, syrup, cinnamon and salt until all combined.
  2. Cut your buttered bread into squares
  3. Add the bread to your mug and press down so they get all covered in the liquid
  4. Add the chocolate chips to the mug and give a little stir
  5. Sprinkle the optional cinnamon sugar on top
  6. Microwave for 2 minutes stopping every 30 seconds (count to ten and start again-so it doesn't pop or explode in the microwave )
  7. Let cool 1-2 minutes
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top and enjoy!!!
It's that easy and it's quick too!!!! Great for grabbing breakfast on the go!!!!
