Italian Dressing Caramelized Chicken - Week 1

Hi guys...This is my first blog post ever ! I am super excited to start this blog. I have a passion for baking and cooking and I can't wait to share it with all of you! This year I came up with this crazy new year's resolution after thinking long and hard about what it should be that I would be cooking or baking a recipe from pinterest that I have pinned or a new pin I find every week!

So this week I made Italian Dressing Caramelized Chicken for my first recipe. It was only 3 ingredients and it was super easy to make !

Ingredients:
  1. 4 or 5 chicken breasts(I used frozen chicken tenders because that was all I had in my freezer my experience with these were that they baked too fast and became a little dry so I suggest that you use chicken breasts or a more thicker piece of chicken so it'll cook at just the right speed and stay moist.)
  2. 1 packet of dried Italian dressing mix (.7 ounce packet) (May vary depending on how much chicken you use)
  3. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar(This may vary depending on how much chicken you use)
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line a 9 x 13 pan with a piece of aluminum foil to prevent sticking (Use a big enough pan for the amount of chicken you made)
  3. Combine the packet of dried Italian dressing mix and your 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar and mix it together.
  4. After cutting the fat off of the chicken breasts (if you bought chicken with fat on it) coat each piece in the mixture on each side.(if any left over mix it can be sprinkled over the top of the chicken once in the pan.)
  5. Place chicken in oven for 20-25 minutes(depending on the size of the chicken breasts) making sure to flip the chicken over after the time is up and bake for an additional 20-25 more minutes( again depending on the size of your chicken) Turn oven on to broil at the last 2 minutes of cooking and broil for two minutes on each side to get that caramelization.
This is what the finished product should look like ....

Enjoy!!!
